I absolutely love breakfast food. I love eating pancakes and eggs for lunch and dinner on a regular basis, so you can guess that brunch is one of my favorite things ever. I discovered Honey’s Sit and Eat about five years ago. Since then, it became my go-to for my weekend plans.

One of my favorite things is about Honey’s is its ambiance. It is rustic, it is busy, and it is amazing. I love how the tables and chairs make you feel that they were found on an empty factory. Honey’s energetic and fun, with all kind of people rushing in to get their breakfast cravings fixed. It feels like a dinner meets suburbia meets your mom’s  homemade matzoh ball soup (chicken soup with a dumpling made out of matzah, eggs and water).

Now to the food. It doesn’t matter what you order, everything is extremely good. My go to is its mac and cheese pancake that is off the menu. You have to be a regular like me to know about this, so take notes.  You can order one to three pancakes with any filling, including mac and cheese. Once you get them, mix the maple syrup with Sriracha. It sounds weird, but the spicy of the Sriracha mixes so well with the sweetness of the maple syrup, which completes the saltiness and creaminess of the mac and cheese and the batter of the pancakes. If you are craving more of a sweet plate, ask for blueberries or chocolate chips instead.

I am also a huge fan of the two eggs your way. I asked for them to be poached and order a biscuit on a side. Write this down if you are taking notes, order the biscuits as a side order and thank me later. They are so buttery, melt in your mouth as soon as you bite into them, and are perfect to balance your meal if you are eating something too sweet. Of course, as the good Jewtina I am, I also ordered a side of latke (are potato pancakes). These ones come in a triangle shape, and are packed with Hanukkah flavors: oil, potato, garlic and tons of pepper!

Jewtina Tips: Stop by an ATM before getting to Honey’s, as it is cash only.
